These arrests and recoveries of arms and ammunition were achieved in the first 100 days of Adegoke Fayoade as CP.
Fayoade, while addressing journalists on these achievements during a public parade of suspects and exhibits at the Police Headquarters in Ikeja, said those arrested included suspected cultists, armed robbers and kidnappers.
According to him, many suspects were arrested during raids of different black spots in the state, noting that 2,253 of those raided were prosecuted, while many others were currently been processed for prosecution.

“All suspects are to be charged to court after investigation.”
Fayoade maintained that in the last 100 days, he has piloted the affairs of the Command with all sense of professionalism and had also charged his men to be up and doing.
He had further urged them not to spare the big stick on officers found wanting of professional misconduct.
He stressed that the security architecture of the command was rejigged with township patrol, paying special attention to high-risk areas, especially at peak periods, which he said has helped to reduce traffic robberies.
He commended the media and sister security agencies for their support within the period, calling for more collaborations
