Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Friday commiserated with a former Minister of Mines and Steel, Paul Unongo, on the death of his wife, Comfort.
In a statement by Onogwu Muhammed, his Chief Press Secretary, Bello described her death as “very shocking”.
Unongo, 54, died at Daisyland Hospital in Jos, Plateau State on Thursday evening.
Bello said: “It’s unfortunate that the sad occurrence is happening two years after the demise of Mama Victoria Unongo, Unongo’s other wife.
“It’s my utmost prayer that God Almighty will comfort Unongo and the great family that the deceased left behind
“I also join the people and government of Benue to mourn the demise of Mrs Comfort, who lived for the good of others, supporting her husband in his humanitarian gestures.”
Bello prayed to God to comfort and strengthen the Unongo family and grant a repose of her soul.
