The immediate past Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has commiserated with Lanre Daibu over the death of his wife, Justice Shafiya Titi Daibu.
Ex-Governor Ahmed’s condolence message was contained in a statement released by his Media Office on Tuesday.
In it, Alhaji Ahmed offered his sympathies to Daibu and his family, urging them to take heart, accept the death as Allah’s will and take consolation in Justice Daibu’s worthy life.
“I am deeply and personally pained by Justice Shafiya Titi Daibu’s tragic demise. My thoughts and prayers are with my dear friend, Barrister Lanre Daibu and his family at this difficult time as we mourn the passing of his beloved wife, Justice Titi Daibu,” he said.
Ex-Governor Ahmed described the late Justice Daibu as an accomplished jurist and woman of substance, whose standing in the community complemented a sterling career on the bench.
Alhaji Ahmed also consoled the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, and the Kwara State Judiciary over the sad loss.
He prayed to Allah to forgive the late Justice Daibu and count her among the favoured in Aljanah.
