Governor Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State has directed the immediate removal of his Personal Assistant on Primary Health, Dr. Nora Aloh.
A statement by Dr. Onyekachi Eni, Chief Press Secretary to the governor, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Abakaliki, the state capital, said Aloh was sacked for “acts inconsistent to the mandate of her office”.
The statement said: “The removal takes effect from Saturday, July 13, 2013 and she is directed to hand over all government property in her possession to the appropriate authorities.
“She also henceforth ceases to be a member of the State Executive Council.”
NAN reports that Aloh has been involved in a controversy, in recent time, over her alleged interest in the chairmanship of Ezza North Local Government Area in the forthcoming council poll in the state.
