C&S Worldwide Leader backs Buhari’s anti-corruption war

The Chairman of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Dr. Samuel Abidoye, has thrown his support behind President Muhammedu Buhari’s anti-corruption war.
Dr. Abidoye, while speaking with the newsmen at the official opening and dedication of an ultra modern cathedral of the church in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, on Saturday, called on Nigerians to be patient with the President.
He said Buhari has done well with his slow and steady win the race approach he has employed since coming into office.
He said: “Nigerians need to be patient with the President with the way he is handling the affairs of the country.
“The President has something to give to Nigeria, especially by stopping corruption, which has hindered the progress of the country.
“See how much has been taken away by the corrupt people.
“When some people are taking billions, some don’t have anything to eat.
“Some of what the President when he first left us are still there.
“So let us be patient with him and see what he can come out with.”
The CSMC Worldwide Leader described President Buhari as a disciplinarian who many are now trying to emulate.
Abidoye expressed surprise that religious leaders who ought to be leading by example love money more than God.
He said: “Some people have taken money as their God.
“From the youth to the oldest ones in the country.
“This is very bad.
“We have too many unemployed youth and some people are sharing money that is meant for the development of the country.
“The arms deal money taken by some people is unfortunate.
“What is meant to buy arms to fight terrorism is taken away.
“That is very sad.
“Soldiers are sent to the war front without proper equipment.”
On peaceful co-existence, Dr. Abidoye called on Nigerians to put religion apart and see ourselves as one rather than fight or divide ourselves over religion.
He said: “We are born without religion, so let us go back to the beginning of our root.
“Religion and nationality should be apart to live peacefully together.”
He urged political office holders to look back and remember that people are suffering and remember God in whatever they do.
