Nigeria on Sunday recorded one death from the Coronavirus Disease after 11 days of no fatality from the pandemic.
This was part of the data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on its Twitter handle late on Sunday.
The country had remained without fatality for 11 days.
But as the country recorded a single death on Sunday, the rate of new infections still remained low.
Only 35 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded Nigeria on Sunday.
The NCDC said Lagos State, with 18 cases, led six other States and the Federal Capital Territory in recording the new cases.
Others with new infections were Rivers-7, Oyo-6, FCT-2, Ekiti-1 and Kaduna-1.
According to the NCDC, with the new infections, Nigeria’s total confirmed cases since the pandemic spread to Nigeria on February 27, 2021 totalled 164,719, with 154,926 successfully treated and discharged and 2,062 deaths.
