Manchester City will make Tosin Adarabioyo available on loan next season.
The 19-year-old signed a new four-year contract worth £40,000-per-week earlier this week, ending speculation over his future.
A host of Premier League and Championship clubs are understood to have shown an interest, while sides in the Bundesliga are also monitoring the defender’s future.
Everton and Celtic had shown interest in Adarabioyo over the past 12 months, but the teenager’s affinity with the club he has represented for 15 years through the academy to the first team proved crucial in his decision to stay.
Negotiations, fronted by Adarabioyo’s sole representative Gbolahan Adarabioyo, were concluded swiftly after the defender made the decision to stay at the Etihad Stadium.
Assurances over Adarabioyo’s pathway into the first-team fold are understood to have played a pivotal role in convincing the defender that his future remains in Manchester.
City have high hopes for Adarabioyo – who is viewed as potential future captain of the club – but want him to go out on loan next season to secure vital first-team experience.
While a Premier League loan would suit City ahead of his return to the club for the 2018/19 season, Adarabioyo is open to a season in a top European league.
It remains to be seen whether Adarabioyo will travel with City on their pre-season tour of the US, with the priority on securing a loan move as swiftly as possible.
He has already made four senior appearance for the club.
