While the whole region is intended to be covered eventually, the plan opens with Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, including several towns, in an initiative that would lead to the construction of 3000 new homes, 10 police stations, 18 primary and secondary schools, health centers, creation of Special Bama Squad for security and the recruitment of 1500 local hunters as Agro Rangers, among others

Chinasa Nwachukwu, a contributor who wrote on: “Education through sensitization,” noted: “A radical transformation of the Nigerian society should begin from a change of the individual mindset; education of the youths through sensitization programs about their rights, their limitations and the power they have over the government.” 

A statement by the President/CEO AMNETT, Aniekan Umanah, said: “The workshop will provide insights into new media  opportunities, advantages and exploration for the benefit of government, corporate bodies and individuals.” 

All the Governors of the States in the region – Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos), Senator Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Senator Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo) and Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti) – were present at the meeting conveyed at the instance of the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria Commission.
