Cardiff City have completed the signing of Sammy Ameobi on a season long-loan deal.
The Bluebirds have won the race to secure the services of Newcastle United’s Ameobi and the forward becomes the club’s second signing of the summer after Semi Ajayi joined from Arsenal.
The Cardiff management was delighted to be able to secure the services of Ameobi and following the completion of the deal, club CEO, Ken Choo, revealed that the Bluebirds carefully selected the 23-year-old talent.
Choo told the club’s official website: “We’re delighted to have Sammy on board, having hand-picked him specifically for his creativity and skill.
“Sammy has Barclays Premier League experience to the tune of more than 50 top-flight appearances. We will continue to search for the right players who have specific skill sets and good character.”
