The formal declaration of General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) for the 2015 presidential election has been postponed by one week.
Buhari was initially due to declare his intention to contest on Wednesday.
The declaration will now take place on October 15.
A statement on Tuesday by a former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party and Coordinator of the Buhari declaration ceremony, Chief Audu Ogbe, said all arrangements for the declaration remains the same.
Buhari will be seeking to fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress for the election.
A former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, had a fortnight ago declared his intention to seek the presidency in 2015 on the platform of the APC.
Ogbe said the declaration by Buhari will take place at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
