The Senate has passed the National Anthem Bill, 2024 to revert to the country’s old National Anthem into third reading.
The bill, which speedily passed first and second readings on Thursday, now awaits assent into law by President Bola Tinubu.
The bill is seeking to reintroduce the old National Anthem, scrapping the present one.
The upper legislative chamber passed the bill after considering a report by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Tahir Monguno.
