The Senate on Tuesday confirmed the appointment Ejembi Eko (Benue) and Amina Augie (Kebbi) as Justices of the Supreme Court.
In a letter dated September 22, President Muhammadu Buhari had sent the names of the nominees to the Senate for confirmation.
The letter was then referred to the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters.
Speaking on the floor of the Senate, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Right and Legal Matters, David Umoru, said his committee found the justices worthy to be judges in the Supreme Court after proper scrutiny.
Umoru informed the Senate that nobody submitted any petition against the nominees of the President.
