Roland Ezuruike won the men’s 54kg event with a record breaking 190kg to hand Nigeria her first gold medal at the ongoing tournament in Brazil.
Ezuruike shattered the world record at the ongoing Paralymipcs and has set another.
More medals are still being expected in the powerlifting event as it remains Nigeria’s strongest point in the disabled tournament.
