Boko Haram kills six Igbo technicians as bomb, again, rocks Borno

Six Igbo technicians have been killed by gunmen suspected to be members of dreaded sect, Boko Haram in Maiduguri, Borno State, and Gaidam in Yobe State.
While five of the Igbo technicians – welders – were killed in Gaidam, Yobe State, one – a fridge repairer – was killed in Maiduguri, Borno State.
In Gaidam, the gunmen were said to have stormed the homes of the Igbo welders after they closed form their businesses and shot them dead.
The Commissioner, Yobe State Police Command, Patrick Egbuniwe, confirmed the killing.
Egbuniwe told AFP: “The gunmen broke into the home of the Igbo iron welders after they had closed from work and shot them dead.
“The attackers escaped and no one has been arrested for the attack.”
The killing of the Igbo fridge repairer, in Gwange Ward of Maiduguri, came a few hours after the bombing of the Gambouru Cattle Market, also in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The cattle market was bombed at about 9am on Saturday.
The technician was shot dead in his workshop at about 3:15pm.
The spokesman of the Borno State Police Command, Gideon Jibrin, confirmed the killing of the Igbo technician.
Jibrin said the gunmen operated with a tricycle.
