Bet9ja NNL Match Day Seven: Crown FC targets Osun United scrap

As the high flying Crown FC of Ogbomosho travel to Osogbo for the Bet9ja Nigeria National League  against Osun United, the club says it is targeting the maximum points against the league strugglers.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Ajilete Boys are poised to raise the bar on Saturday as they square up in a South-West derby with the Omoluabi Giants.
The match will be played at the Osogbo Township Stadium, at 5 pm.
The Oyekale-tutored side, second on the NNL Southern Conference B2 log with 13 points from six matches, including four wins, one draw and a loss, last defeated Rovers FC of Calabar by a lone goal.
The next door neighbour campaigners, Osun United are, however, having it rough in their campaign this 2017/2018 league with a paltry four points from five matches. One win, one draw and three losses.
In the 2016/2017 season, Crown FC defeated Osun United by a lone goal at the Soun Township Stadium in Ogbomoso.
Osun United also defeated Crown FC by a lone goal at the Osogbo Township Stadium in the return leg.
On the match, Crown FC Media Officer, Olatunji Alabi, said the previous matches between both sides had been explosive, adding that the fans should expect fireworks.
“It has not been a rosy season for the Omoluabi Giants and Crown FC will capitalise on their recent performances to ensure they steal the show.
The Captain of Crown, Adeniyi Adejare, told NAN that he was confident of victory in Osogbo.
Adejare said: “We are going to set a new record by defeating Osun United in the Match Day 7 game by His grace.
“It hasn’t been always easy when the two teams clash, but this is going to be entirely different from what has been happening in the past.”
NAN reports that Crown FC is second on the log with 13 points from six matches closely behind Remo Stars FC who also has 13 points but leading with goals difference.
Osun United is the last on the log with four points from five games though with an outstanding Match Day 5 home game against Ikorodu United FC of Lagos.
A win for the Ajilete Warriors will see them atop the Group B2 league table.
However, a win for the Omoluabi Giants will take them away from the relegation zone but a draw will still keep them down the log.
