The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced the announcement of the results of the supplementary governorship poll in Bayelsa State.
The supplementary election was held on Saturday.
This was a follow-up to the initial election held on December 5, 2016.
The Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress split the two local government areas results announced officially by INEC as at press time.
While the PDP scored 1,160 votes in Nembe Local Government Area, the APC took the lead with 1,400 votes.
For Ekeremor Local Government Area, the APC had 257 votes, while the PDP polled 2,695 votes.
The election was held in 101 polling units in six local government areas and the entire Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.
