A bank manager and four other persons were killed by yet-to-identified gunmen in Sapele, Delta State, on Saturday.
They were said to have been killed at a bar located opposite Okotie-Eboh Grammar School on Macpherson Road.
The gunmen came in a car.
They reportedly opened fire on their victims, wounding several others in the process and stealing nothing.
The shooting was said to have happened at about 8.30pm.
Two of those wounded are receiving treatment at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.
The spokesman of the Delta State Police Command, Charles Muka, said of the shooting: “We will definitely fish out and apprehend the mindless killers.
“It is very sad that such a thing could happen in Sapele considered to be a peaceful town.”
