AYC: Flying Eagles to earn $2,000 for every win

Each Flying Eagles player will receive $2,000 for a win in the group stage of the 2013 African Youth Championship, officials have announced.
The Nigeria U20 players previously received $1,000 and an improvement of this win bonus is expected to ginger the team in their title defence.
The Director of Competitions of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed, made the announcement on arrival at the team’s training camp in Tunisia on Saturday afternoon.
Sanusi also charged the team to fly Nigeria’s flag highest in Algeria.
He said: “After what your senior brothers achieved in South Africa, all attention is now on any Nigerian team and so you must go on and again do the nation proud.
“You did it two years ago in South Africa and you can do it again in Algeria.”
Sanusi is due to depart for Algeria on Monday to ensure everything is in place for the defending champions by the time they depart Tunisia on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, Denmark-based winger, Edafe Egbedi, has finally arrived the Flying Eagles training base in Tunisia.
Looking fit and trim, Egbedi trained with the squad at the Esperance training ground.
Like the rest of the squad, he has got his visa into Algeria.
The former schoolboy international was also part of the championship-winning squad two years ago in South Africa.
The 21-man Flying Eagles are now complete and ready to do battle in Algeria.
Their opening game is on March 17 against Mali in Oran.
They are also scheduled to take on Gabon and DR Congo for a place in the last four of the eight-nation competition, which will produce four flag bearers to the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey in June.
