AUN denies two ladies missing from school

The American University of Nigeria has denied that two ladies are missing from the school.
The denial was contained in a statement issued by the school sequel to an online story on Monday.
One of the publications said: “These ladies who are students of the American University of Nigeria, Yola, Adamawa State, are reportedly missing. Anyone with useful information should please call 08066843789 or 08055511811.”
But the school in a statement by its Executive Director of Communications and Public Relations, Daniel Okereke, said: “This is to inform the public, and our students and their parents in particular, that NO STUDENT IS MISSING FROM AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA.
“Both the headline and accompanying story are incorrect. By several accounts, the incident involving the ladies, who graduated from AUN some years back, took place in Abuja, and not in Yola. While we join friends and well-wishers in praying for the early reunion of our former students with their families, fact is, there is no student missing from American University of Nigeria.
“The American University of Nigeria has just concluded a well-attended spring 2017 semester orientation and pledge ceremony while classes have resumed in earnest.”
