Dortmund striker, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, has emerged the winner of the African Footballer of the year 2015.
The forward beat four-time winner Yaya Toure by 143 to 136 points, while Andre Ayew came third with 112 points.
Nigeria’s duo of Oghenekaro Etebo and Victor Osimhen crowned their 2015 with awards in different categories.
Osimhen, who broke records and was also instrumental to Nigeria clinching the FIFA U-17 World Cup for the fifth time since inception, was adjudged the Youth Player of the year, while U-23 Eagles winger, Oghenero Etebo, won the Most Promising Talent award.
Meanwhile, no Nigerian player was considered for the CAF Africa XI.
The Africa XI are Robert Muteba Kidiaba (DR Congo) as the best goalkeeper, with defenders as Serge AURIER (Cote d’Ivoire), Aymen ABDENNOUR (Tunisia), Mohamed MEFTAH (Algeria), while midfielders are Andre AYEW (Ghana), Yaya TOURE (Cote d’Ivoire), Sadio MANE (Senegal), Yacine BRAHIMI (Algeria)
In the attack are Mbwana Aly SAMATTA (Tanzania), Pierre-Emerrick AUBAMEYANG (Gabon) and Baghdad BOUNEDJAH (Algeria).
