The Inspector General of the Police, Solomon Arase, NPM, has directed Command Commissioners of Police to provide adequate security for all foreign nationals, especially missionaries, living in their jurisdictions.
This directive was issued when Arase received the Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland, Sean Hoy, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja on Wednesday.
The IGP equally assured the Ambassador that Foreign Missions in Nigeria will continue to receive adequate security coverage.
The Ambassador, who was at the Force Headquarters on a working visit, used the occasion to congratulate Arase on his appointment.
Hoy also had discussion with the IGP on areas of interest of his mission.
