Ahmed also assured potential members of equity, fairness and justice.
Governor Ahmed, who stated this while speaking to journalists after he was registered alongside his wife, Omolewa, by the Chairman of the APC Registration Committee in the State, Dr. Hassan Lawal, in Share Ward One, Share, Headquarters of Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state, emphasised that the massive turnout of members on Day One of the party’s membership registration exercise was an indication that the party has mass appeal in the state.
He said it was also an endorsement of the alignment of former members of the Peoples Democratic Party with the APC.

“The party would benefit immensely from the virile political culture in the state.”
Earlier when the APC registration committee visited him in his office at the Government House, Ilorin, Governor Ahmed said major harmonization of all shades of interests of APC in the state had been carried out in order to make the party stronger and more united.
Lawal, a former Minister of Works, said the committee was able to iron out grey areas ahead of the membership registration exercise.
He assured members of the party that the members’ registration would be hitch free as registration officers have been well trained and dispatched to all the 194 wards in the state, while registration materials have been distributed to all parts of the state.
