Detectives attached to the Anambra State Police Command working with the Umuoji Vigilante group have arrested the suspected killers of the town’s President-General, who was murdered in his home at the weekend.
The spokesman of the police in the state and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tochukwu Ikenga, said this.
Ikenga said the mobile phone and Automatic Teller Machine card of the deceased were recovered from the four suspects.
Ikenga added: “In their confession, they named four other accomplices who are now being hunted for by the Police.”
The Command’s Commissioner, CP Aderemi Adeoye, who was away in Ibadan, Oyo State on official assignment for the opening ceremony of the 14th Biennial Police Games, rushed back to the state when the news of the murder broke to coordinate police efforts at unravelling the crime.
