Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State has dropped three commissioners and a special adviser in a minor cabinet reshuffle.
This was contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Aniekan Umanah, in Uyo, the state capital, on Monday.
According to the statement, the minor cabinet reshuffle is with immediate effect.
The commissioners affected are: Transport, Austin Mbeh; Economic Development, Sunny Anyang; and Commerce and Industry, Martins Udoinyang.
The Special Adviser, Sports and Youth Development, Samuel Frank, was also dropped from the cabinet, according to the statement.
The statement said that the governor expressed appreciation to the former members of the state Executive Council for their services to the state.
“The governor also wished them success in their future endeavours,” the statement added.
The cabinet reshuffle was the second in 2013.
