The All Grassroots Alliance says the Independent National Electoral Commission has approved the expulsion of some of the party members for alleged anti-party activities.
In a statement signed by AGA National Chairman Olukayode Oshiariyo on Saturday, the party said that the members that were expelled “are Durojaiye Adebowale, the erstwhile organising secretary and Bamide Orubuloye, a member”.
Oshiariyo, however, noted that Julius Otiji, the National Secretary of the party, had been suspended indefinitely until the end of an investigation to his alleged anti-party activities.
He said further that the party’s National Executive Committee members also passed a vote of confidence on the party’s national chairman, its National Treasurer Helen Amuzie-James and other members of the committee.
The party also said that it resolved to remove the party’s name from the petition to the Senatorial Elections Petition Tribunal in Niger and Abia.
