The member representing Uba/Gaiya Constituency in the Adamawa House of Assembly, Mohammed Hayatu Atiku, has donated educational materials to 600 pupils of secondary and primary schools in his constituency.
Atiku, on delivery, said he selected 100 students from each ward of the area to benefit from his long desire to promote education.
He said it was also to alleviate parents from the harsh economy and effects of Boko Haram insurgency on them.
Among the things he donated were writing materials, schools bags, uniforms and sandals.
He also paid one year fees of secondary school students.
According to Atiku, his main work as a legislator is to make laws that will benefit the people of his constituency but he cannot shy away from touching the lives of people in many other ways, most especially those considered the less privilege ones.
He advised parents to properly guard their wards and children on bad groups that at end of the day will turn them to miscreants and unwanted elements in the society.
