Actress Mercy Aigbe and her ex-husband, Lanre Gentry, have been insulting each other on Instagram over a Father’s Day message.
Aigbe earlier shared a post on her Instagram page celebrating herself for playing the role of a father and mother in the lives of her two children.
The actress stated that being a father is beyond impregnating a woman, noting that she pays the school fees of one of her kids in foreign currency.
She said: “Happy Father’s Day to me and all the responsible fathers out there! 2kids (one international student)… Changing naira to dollar with this dollar rate! Abeg it’s not easy but God has been Gracious!
“Please no one should come and tell me how I shouldn’t take the shine off Father’s oh! Fatherhood is beyond just impregnating a woman, if you are a man and do not perform your responsibilities towards your kids, Biko you aren’t fit to be called a Father and that’s on Period!!!l
“So since I am playing the dual role in my children’s lives, allow me celebrate myself every day cos it’s not easy!
“May the Lord grant us all long lives, in good health to enjoy the fruit of our labour.”
Responding to the post, Gentry also celebrated himself, while also stating that some women wish themselves happy Father’s Day despite being bad wives and terrible mother to their children.
He said: “Happy Father’s Day to me and all the fathers in the world.
“May God be with you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.. Amen.
“Some women, some women over there will say happy father’s day to themselves when they are not good mothers to their children or housewives.
“But the Father always make every one happy in the house.
“You can’t blame some women without good background.
“They don’t have their parents together, that is why they don’t know what Father’s Day is.
“I thank God for my parents.
“Thank you Father and mother for staying together to make me what I am today.
“Happy Father’s Day to you once again.
“I am a father to all my children and I pray for all the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ… Amen!
“If you like take your children to the moon, it’s nobody’s business.
“If you like pay in yen or dollars, it’s nobody’s ‘palava.’
“I have helped you pay for another man’s daughter’s school fees before so?

However, Mercy responded to her ex-husband, calling him a “shameless and useless father”.
She said: “Mr Lanre Gentry you better stop with the stupid lies! You better don’t just infuriate me! Lara Gentry call your useless father to order oh!!!! Cos really I have had enough of his nonsense!!!!!
“And the most irresponsible father award goes to my Ex! This shameless man who instead of him to cover his face in shame, will rather come online to post rubbish! I normally ignore you when you respond to my Father’s Day post! But you see this one! Bring it on!!!! I am ready! Alailojuti.

To this, Gentry replied Aigbe that it doesn’t take him a minute to expose all her shady secrets.
He said: “It doesn’t take me a minute to expose all your shady secrets, callous, inhumane and prostitution acts with all your so called marketer.
“But I will not because of my son, Olajuwon and your very good mother.
“But when the time comes the whole world will still know the fake life you are living and you need to stop your arrogant lifestyle.”
