The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has advised President Tinubu to activate state police in order to combat insecurity in the country.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele revealed that the rate of insecurity will be alarming and the existing security operatives will not be able to handle it. He mentioned that more hands are needed and state police will be very effective in this area.
He stated that terrorists will soon start targeting politicians for attacks and it will get to a point where they will start walking and moving with fear. He recommended that the government should activate CCTV in sensitive areas to effectively combat insecurity.
‘’The government should introduce state police and activate it as soon as possible to combat insecurity in the country. The rate of insecurity will be alarming and the military, police, DSS, NSCDC will not be able to handle it.
‘’The government should activate CCTV to fight insecurity. We need more hands to fight it, it will get to a point where politicians will be moving with panic and fear. They will become targets of terrorists, there will be kidnappings among them.”

He also advised the IGP to put more operational CPs in place where there are security challenges while stressing the need for President Tinubu to urgently look into insecurity in the country
‘’The government should look into this very well; the IGP should put more operational CPs in places where there are challenges. Security will determine the growth of a nation; the government should try as much as they can to reduce it. The government needs to take it very seriously. ‘’
Furthermore, Primate Ayodele frowned at the government’s alleged negotiation with bandits, stating that the strategy will only empower them to wreak havoc in the country. He advised that the government stops every form of negotiation with terrorists.
“The government shouldn’t negotiate with terrorists to make the country safe. This will only encourage and empower them. The government should rather empower security operatives, create more opportunities for our agencies to secure the country.’’
