The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Lagos West Senatorial District in the February 14 general election, Hon. Solomon Adeola, has alleged an attack on his office by his Peoples Democratic Party rival, Segun Adewale.
Adeola, in a statement supported with photographs, said Adewale personally led the attack on his office on Saturday evening.
He said the PDP candidate personally shot at his office and car, allegedly supported by policemen and thugs.
Adeola said the attack on his office at 32 Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, took place at about 7.15pm.
A statement by Adeola said Adewale personally wielded a pump action rifle and stood on his car while shooting at his office and car.
He was quoted in a statement on Saturday evening: “APC party supporters who took to their heels heard Mr. Adewale shouting for Hon Adeola to come out as he released a volley of shots into the office.
“The gate was damaged as well as the rear windshield of Hon. Adeola Toyota Land cruiser Jeep parked inside the office premises.
“Equally bullet pellets damaged the exterior of the office room of Hon Adeola’s office.
“The DPO of Ikeja has been informed and as I write is on his way to the office.”
Adewale could not be reached as at press time.
