The Ogun State Police Command have confirmed the attack and eventual abduction of the wife of a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
According to available information, Mrs. Odumosu was abducted in the early hours of Friday by heavily armed men.
Further investigations indicated that Mrs Odumosu was attacked by four masked men when she was about to enter home.
It was gathered that assailants dragged her from her Lexus Jeep and took her through swampy areas to an unknown location.

In a swift reaction to the report, the state police command said its operatives from the police division have been deployed to the scene where they are currently searching the swampy bush area.
The command also noted it has reached out to the traditional rulers across the area to deploy local security forces to the riverine areas to fish out the kidnappers.
It assured that further updates will be communicated soonest.
