The Ogun State Police Command said its operatives have recovered a bus allegedly stolen from the popular Kuto garage in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the development, adding that a suspect was arrested in connection with the case.
Odutola, a Superintendent of Police, said: “On December 14, 2024 at about 0120 hours, information received from One Jamiu Ajio Alajikupo disclosed that unknown thief/thieves stole his Mazda bus with Registration number MUS-686 YJ from Kuto garage, Abeokuta.”

Upon receipt of report, Odutola stated that a police team from the Ewekoro Police Division, with the assistance of operatives of the 16 Police Mobile Force were deployed to Papalanto, where the driver was arrested and the vehicle recovered to the station.
She, however, noted that a report, concerning the same case, has also been made at the Ibara Police Station by one Femi Mayowa, which prompted men from the station to visit the division.
Subsequently, Odutola said the suspect and the stolen vehicle were handed over to the men from the Ibara Police Station.
