The suspects were arrested following a distress call received by the Divisional Police Officer, Sagamu divisional headquarters, that a branch of the church located at GRA, Sagamu, was under attack by suspected robbers. 

Spokesman for the command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said in a statement that a joint task force was set, in conjunction with other security agencies, to clamp down on the use of unregistered motorcycles, which had become commonplace in the state.

Raymond Chukwudi and Ekene Okoro were arrested by men of the Federal Highway Patrol at Ajebandele, a boundary between Ogun and Ondo States during a stop-and-search operation.

According to a statement by the command’s public relations officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged at the Sango-Ota divisional headquarters by the victim (name withheld).

The suspects: Najimu Ojumola, 42; Monday Olaleye, 25; Kehinde Martins, 34 and Felix John, 27, were arrested following a distress call received by policemen at Onipanu Divisional Headquarters that Babaode-Onibuku village was under siege by a group of land grabbers.

The suspects – Eze Anthony Sopruchuckwu, 34; Eze Chijoke Edeh, 29; Olalekan Ayodele Muritala, 44; and Samuel Johnson, 32 – were all arrested following a report lodged at the Ikenne Divisional Headquarters, that a trailer with registration number ANG 57 LG, loaded with 600 bags of Golden Penny flour and driven by one Ahmed Tiamiyu had been hijacked along the expressway.

The Divisional Police Officer of Sango-Ota Divisional Headquarters, CSP Godwin Idehai, had earlier received a distress call that robbers were operating at Ipamesan area, and that they had already burgled a warehouse in the area.
