The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has told Nigerians that the Federal Government is not planning an increase in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol.
Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the NNPCL, Femi Soneye, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday.

Following this, the national oil company told Nigerians “to disregard unfounded rumours”.
It said there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price, adding: “Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country.”
