The Delta State Police Command has apprehended eight suspected cultists and recovered weapons and other items from them.
The command’s Spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Warri on Monday.
Edafe said the suspects were nabbed on Thursday by the command’s tactical team in Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area.
The police spokesman said there was a reported case of inter-gang clash in Oghara, which prompted the deployment of the tactical team.
He said the police operatives, in alliance with members of the local vigilance group, raided a black spot in the community and arrested a suspected cultist in the process.
