Premier League giants, Manchester City, are reportedly close to securing the signing of Golden Eaglets’ midfielder, Chidiebere Nwakali.
The 17-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, currently represents Shuttle Sports Academy in Lagos.
The midfielder played a key role for the Nigeria Under-17 side that won the World Cup in November, with his performances drawing a host of interest from across Europe.
Reports have it that City lead that particular race, with the player due to fly into Manchester on Thursday to hold talks with the Premier League club.
Nwakali only turned 17 last week.
