Three of the Peoples Democratic Party governors believed to be opposed to President Goodluck Jonathan a few minutes ago arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
They are to meet with Jonathan in continuation of their meeting to resolve the crisis rocking the PDP, which has led to five dissenting governors leaving the party.
The three governors already in Aso Rock are Dr. Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, Mallam Ibrahim Musa Kwakwanso of Kano State and Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State.
Information reaching The Eagle Online has it that some governors loyal to Jonathan are also going to attend the meeting.
Among them are the Chairman of the PDP Governor’s Forum and Governor of Akwa Ibom
State, Obong Godswill Akpabio; and the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
It was gathered that Akpabio and the others are still engaged in a meeting at the Akwa Ibom Governors Lodge in Abuja.
