Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange staked N5.40 billion on 493.13 million shares in 6,852 deals on Friday.
This was against the 1.09 billion shares worth N6.89 billion exchanged in 6,210 deals on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the All-Share Index closed higher by 54.68 points or 0.14 to close at 39,564.79 from the 39,510.11 achieved on Thursday.
Also, the market capitalisation rose by N17 billion to close at N12.64 trillion against the N12.62 trillion posted on Thursday.
Mobil led the gainers’ chart by N9 to close at N119 per share.
Glaxosmithkline gained N6.02 to close at N68, while CAP rose by N5.44 to close at N59.89 per share.
Okomu Oil Palm appreciated by N1.94 to close at N51.04, while Dangote Cement chalked up N1.51 to close at N210 per share.
On the contrary, UBA topped the losers’ chart by N1.45 to close at N13.09 per share.
Roads dropped 94k to close at N9.06 per share, while Lafarge Cement Wapco lost 90k to close at N99.10 per share.
Stanbic IBTC dropped 36k to close at N17.15 while Evans Medical lost 33k to close at N3.09 per share.
IHS emerged the most traded stock with a turnover of 70.44 million shares valued at N140.88 million.
Unity Bank came second on the activity chart with a total of 59.76 million shares worth N38.12 million, while Zenith Bank sold 46.01 million shares valued at N1.04 billion.
