Eighty eight ships carrying different cargoes are expected in Lagos ports between May 14 and May 28, the Nigerian Ports Authority has said.
In its daily publication: “Shipping Position”, issued in Lagos on Tuesday, the NPA said that 15 other ships were also waiting to discharge petroleum products in various terminals in Lagos ports.
“Ten of the 15 ships will discharge petrol, three others will discharge diesel, one with aviation fuel, while one will discharge base oil,” the NPA said.
According to the publication, seven ships are also waiting to discharge bulk wheat cocoa, used vehicles and fresh fish.
The ports authority said that 15 of the expected 88 ships would arrive with petroleum products.
“Others will sail in with new and used vehicles, general cargoes, bulk wheat, bulk fertiliser, fresh fish, rice, steel products and containers,” it said.
