Katsina State pilgrims have applauded the feeding arrangements in Mina, Saudi Arabia as the proper Hajj rites are underway.
A male pilgrim from the State, Alhaji Usman, said they received their breakfast as soon as they arrived at their tent.
The breakfast, served around 7am on Friday, came with additional fruits and water.
Usman added that the next supply came around 2pm to 3pm.
Similarly, a female pilgrim, also from Katsina, Amina, said they were fed three times, adding that they actually enjoyed the meals.
Amina said they were initially worried when they didn’t see their sisters (Tukari) that usually sell food in Mina.
She said: “I was told the new NUSUK card issue has stopped them from coming in.
“We usually rely on them if the feeding didn’t come in time, but Alhamdullahi we didn’t miss them as the food supplied by the service providers met our taste.
“What impresses me is that the food was hygienic because it is written that you must eat it within an hour of supply.
“This will enhance the nutritional value of the food.”

Over two million Muslims from different countries all over the world are presently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2024 pilgrimage.
June 15 is the peak of Hajj rites as all Hujaj mount Arafah.
They would stay within the Arafah territory from morning till later in the day to Muzdalifah, where they set for other Hajj rites, the following day, on June 16, 2024, the Eid-al-Adha day.
