The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has detained the immediate past Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu.
This followed his implication in the $2.1 billion arms scam.
Amosu was among the 17 senior military officers listed by President Muhammadu Buhari for probe over the arms deal.
He was invited by the EFCC on Tuessay for interrogation.
But after he wrote his statement, he was not allowed to go home, it was learnt.
As at press time on Thursday, he was still at the Abuja headquarters of the EFCC.
The development was confirmed by inside sources in the EFCC on Thursday.
