The Independent National Electoral Commission in Niger State says it still has 160,000 unclaimed Permanent Voter Cards.
The Secretary of the commission, Alhaji Aliyu Bungudu, made the disclosure at a one-day stakeholder’s forum in Minna on Thursday.
He appealed to registered voters in the state to come forward and collect their PVCs.
Bungudu solicited the support of leaders of political parties and stakeholders in mobilising residents to come forward for their permanent voter cards.
The secretary said that the exercise would commence from April 21 to April 23 across the 25 local government areas of the state.
He also appealed to the media to complement the efforts of the commission in sensitising residents on the importance of the PVC.
