Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has expressed sadness over the passing of the late Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo.
He said the elder statesman left an indelible mark with his tireless efforts to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the country.
Aiyedatiwa stated this in a press release on Friday following the death of the Yoruba leader.
The statement reads, “l am saddened to learn of the passing of Chief Ayo Adebanjo, a leader and statesman who dedicated his life to serving the people.
“Throughout his lifetime, Pa Adebanjo demonstrated unwavering commitment to the values of democracy, justice, and equality in Nigeria.
“His tireless efforts to promote peace, stability, and prosperity have left an indelible mark on our country’s history.

Pa Ayo Adebanjo, died at the age of 96. He passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, February 14, 2025, at his residence in Lekki, Lagos State
