The House of Representatives has slated February 4 for the consideration of the 2014 appropriation.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Zakari Mohammed (APC-Kwara), disclosed this at a news conference on Thursday in Abuja.
Zakari said that consideration of the budget was put on hold so that the Constitutional Review process could be concluded.
He said that the next line of action would be to raise a Conference Committee of the House to begin work on the grey areas of the Constitution with its Senate Committee counterpart.
Mohammed revealed that it was expected that a clean copy of the Constitution would be produced after the two chambers have met, to sort out areas of agreement and disagreement.
The spokesman also said that the Petroleum Industry Bill had been be committed to a technical session.
He said that in the technical session, everybody’s interest would be represented so as to have a law that would meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people
The lawmaker assured Nigeria that the PIB would be ready hopefully by April.
