The Supreme Court has ended the ambition of Hajia Aisha Alhassan of the Peoples Democratic Party to emerge as the first female governor in Nigeria.
This followed the upturning of Alhassan’s victory at the Court of Appeal by the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Alhassan is popularly known as Mama Taraba.
The Supreme Court thus confirmed the election of Darius Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party as the governor of Taraba State.
