The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abdullai Gana Muhammadu, has arrived Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, in response to the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari had ordered Muhammadu to relocate to the North East and liaise with the Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Rogers Nicholas to ensure deployment of NSCDC personnel to all schools in liberated areas in the states.
He is also to work with the Governors of Yobe, Borno and Adamawa State.
The Presidency said the directive has become necessary to forestall a re-occurrence of the attack on innocent school children as it occurred in Dapchi, Yobe State.
Gana was received by Major General Nicholas at the headquarters of Military Command and Control Centre.
