The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has appealed to Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State to provide more land to the military for constructing additional security outlets.
Abubakar, who made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the governor on Wednesday in Jos, said the force needed more land for the construction of more security outlets, schools and hospitals.
He commended Lalong for maintaining a cordial relationship with the Air Force formation in the state and for sustaining the current peace.
Lalong, in his remarks, assured Abubakar of the state’s readiness to accede to his request for more land.
The governor accompanied Abubakar to inaugurate some projects at the NAF Base.
The projects included six units of three-bedroom officers’ accommodation and two blocks of bedrooms for other personnel in the junior category.
