The Nigerian Air Force has fired no fewer than four officers indicted in the $2.1 billion arms scam.
This was just as it has been established that the Aide-De-Camp to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Colonel Ojogbane Adegbe, was among the 12 senior officers of the Nigerian Army handed over by the Service to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for investigation over the arms scam.
The $2.1 billion was budgeted for the purchase of arms for the fight against the Boko Haram terrorists.
However, a former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, was said to have disbursed the money for purposes other than budgeted.
Among those fired and placed under arrest by the Nigerian Air Force are Air Vice Marshals and Commodores.
They are also to be interrogated by operatives of the EFCC like their Nigerian Army counterparts.
First to be arrested was AVM R. A. Ojuawo, who was picked up on Tuesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on his way to Germany by operatives of the EFCC.
