One of the first class emirs in Yobe State, the Emir of Ngelzarma, Fune Local Government Area, Alhaji Mahammadu Mai Yeri Ibn Isa II, has died in a car crash.
Isa was involved in the accident in Gerei, Adamawa State.
He was 49.
The Secretary of Ngelzarma Emirate Council, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Mai Yeri, confirmed the emir’s death.
Yeri said the accident occurred at about 2pm on Monday.
Isa is survived by two wives and 13 children.
He would be buried on Tuesday.
