World’s oldest priest says strict routine, basis of long life

A Belgian priest, Jacques Clemens, who is the world’s oldest priest, says a strict daily routine is the recipe for a long life.
Clemens turned 107 on July 11.
Clemens, who also celebrated his 80th anniversary as a Catholic priest, gets up every morning at 5.30 and goes to bed at 9pm.
He was asked to remain in service until the parish found a successor when he was about to retire at 75 years old.
Clemens only stopped holding regular church services at his parish in the southern Belgian village of Nalinnes in 2015.
