Why I’m thrilled by Jonathan’s message to Buhari, by Joshua Ozorji

I write to comment on the congratulatory call made by Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to General Muhammadu Buhari, and to say that as a young person, I am happy about it.

All over Africa, you hardly have any leader leave office the way the Nigerian president is doing. They fight and cause wars and chaos. Mr. President’s was an example to be emulated and commended. It has given Nigeria a good name in the comity of nations and left footprints for us younger ones to follow when we become leaders of tomorrow.

Mr. President indeed fulfilled his promise of a free, fair and credible election, and affirmed that no politician’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian.

Thank you for giving Nigerians fresh democracy. Thank you for guaranteeing our votes, thank you, true initiator of Change. Thank you Mr. President.
